Our name says it all, since we very first started specializing in Bowhunting safaris we have hunted with an ever-growing group of discerning bowhunters, whilst earning our reputation as the most specialized and dedicated Bowhunting outfit.

The secret to our success can be summed up in one word: involvement! Buhala Bowhunting Safaris is run by bowhunters and utilizes Bow-hunting only concessions. We speak the language, know the sport, and live the adventure, leading the way by dedication and attention to every detail of the hunt, be it for the experienced or novice bowhunter.

Our hunting hides are situated near waterholes or feeding areas and comprise of ground blinds and above ground hides. Walk and stalk options are available.

The hunter will at all times be accompanied by a Professional Hunter who too is involved in the sport of Bowhunting.

We suggest the hunter brings 2 well tuned bows with a draw weight not less than 50 lbs, and for larger antelope not less than 70 lbs.

We found that well constructed Broadheads are essential for a successful hunt and that makes such as Thunderhead, Zwicky, Muzzy and Bear are the types that work best under South African conditions.

Prior to the hunt, the bow-hunter will have ample opportunity to sight his or her bow on the game ranch. The use of anti-scent sprays are highly recommended. A good supply of arrows, spare Broadhead blades, strings and other spares should be taken along.
